Success!!!

I was so happy with myself last night at the French Recital.  I remembered all the words and I sang out.  I was also happy that my parents got to come and hear me sing.  They were impressed with me.  When I practice, i have been doing the random notes exercise and I have improved in that since the last time.  I just can't wait to continue improving my voice while I'm here at Wayne.  I get more and more comfortable singing the high notes now.  I can sing a G and  A above the staff, as long as I can work my way up to it.

I have been improving so much lately.  I still have trouble trying to find pitches when i play random ones on the piano.  I just need to think in whole and half steps.  These things will take time I realize.  I need to work on getting that nasal sound when i sing my french piece especially.  I am so proud of myself by how far i have gotten with my voice in my first 2 years of college.  In high school i was so scared to hit a high F but now i can hit that without hesitation.

French......WHY ME?!!

In the past couple of weeks i have been getting better at pronouncing plaisir d'amour. I just still have troubles with the "B" section in the song but it's coming along very well. My mouth still has to come open more and i need to learn not to uncomfortable or something like that when singing. I need to stop trying to push the notes out so much and just relax and calmly let the notes come out. i noticed that today in studio when jesse told me that im very tense when i sing sometimes.

Missed Voice lesson

I was so sad when i didnt get to have my voice lesson last week. I practiced for recital that occurred today. I was proud of my high notes but trying to find that Bb wasnt as good as i thought. I still didn't do too bad. I just really have to work on my diction in Italian and try not to be so nervous next time. Even michelle anderson said that i have improved alot and my high notes sounded awesome!!! I plan on working on Plaisir d'amour and To a little Child more.

Accomplishement

i have improved so much since last year. I may still be keeping my voice inside this little box but it's getting better. I am very proud of how much i have improved and what more i can do to make it better! I still have a little trouble with my french but it will come in time as i practice more and more each day. I hope that by the time i have my senior recital that i will have improved alot more and my voice will no longer be in my little box.
